With thicker walls, this teapot has a notably solid feel in the hands with a nice weight to it. The lid fit is tight, and the overall construction feels sturdy. It has its own unique character and really is a pleasure to use. 

Personally, I feel this pot pairs especially well with dry-stored sheng puer. While zini is often appreciated for its ability to round a tea’s rougher edges, good hongni can achieve a similar effect while preserving more of the tea’s subtler aspects.
