2014 Bada Gushu Sheng Puer
The aggressive storage has given this tea some characteristics that seem considerably older than its 2014 production date. The dark liquor and smooth, round, creamy texture can easily suggest a much older tea, yet the tea’s youthfulness remains apparent throughout the session. It’s an interesting combination: in some respects, the tea performs well beyond its age, while in others, its youthful character is still unmistakable.
Definitely containing some material from older trees, this is a tea with strong flavor and a big mouthfeel. The profile brings together floral notes, wood, and herbs, along with subtle cellar notes that are present without being overwhelming. The tea produces good salivation and has a noticeable aftertaste.
The tea also has strong energy that builds over the course of the session.
Cakes are approximately 400g each.
