1980s Loose Leaf Sheng Puer

This 1980s loose leaf sheng has great depth and a deeply matured character. Despite its age and aggressive storage, its sheng character remains present, with a little bite still intact.

The aroma has a floral quality over underlying notes of camphor and resin, accompanied by a cooling sensation on the breath. Someone familiar with the tea described this as 樟蘭香 (camphor-orchid aroma). Distinctive cellar notes are also present, but the tea develops greater clarity as the session progresses.

The mouthfeel is round and oily with good structure, with some dryness in the front of the mouth along with ample salivation. A strong, mouth-coating aftertaste follows, with a sweetness that emerges and lingers.

The energy is impressive and well suited for a focused and contemplative session.
